US and Mexico Border Fence Pros and Cons The southern fringe of the United States imparted to Mexico traverses just about 2,000 miles. Dividers, wall, and virtual dividers of sensors and cameras observed by the U.S. Outskirt Patrol are as of now worked along 33% of the fringe (around 670 miles) to make sure about the outskirt and cut down on unlawful movement. Americans are part on the outskirt boundary issue. While a great many people are agreeable to expanding the security of the outskirts, others are worried that the antagonistic effects don't exceed the advantages. The U.S. government sees the Mexican outskirt as a significant piece of its general country security activity. Cost of the Border Barrier The sticker price right now sits at $7 billion for outskirt fencing and related foundation like person on foot and vehicle fencing with lifetime support costs expected to surpass $50 billion. The Trump Administration and Mexican Border Enhancement As a significant piece of his foundation during the 2016 presidential crusade, President Donald Trump required the development of an a lot bigger, braced divider along the whole 2,000-mile-long Mexicoââ¬United States outskirt, guaranteeing Mexico would pay for its development, which he evaluated at $8 to $12 billion. Different evaluations brought the expense of the divider closer to $15 to $25 billion. On January 25, 2017, the Trump organization marked a Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements Executive Order to begin the structure of the fringe divider. Accordingly, Mexican President Enrique Peã ±a Nieto said his nation would not pay for the divider under any conditions and dropped a booked gathering with Trump at the White House, apparently stressing relations between the two presidents. With the chance of Mexico paying for any piece of the wallâ apparently off the table, the Trump organization utilized existing assets to start development of a little area of the new divider, alongside upgrades to existing segments of the divider toward the beginning of March 2018. On March 23, 2018, President Trump marked an omnibus government spending bill committing $1.6 billion to the development of the rest of the divider. As he marked the bill, Trump alluded to the $1.6 billion as ââ¬Å"an beginning down paymentâ⬠on the assessed about $10 billion expected to fence the whole outskirt. The fundsâ will pay for development of around 25 miles (40 kilometers) of another divider along levees in the Texas Rio Grande Valley, just as fix and moves up to existing dividers and hostile to vehicle devices.â The Great 2019 Border Wall Government Shutdown The issue of the outskirt obstruction, and particularly the legislative issues behind it, heightened significantly in January 2019, when Congress would exclude $5.7 billion mentioned by President Trump for the development of steel fringe fencing in a bill financing the activities of nine of the 15 government official branch organizations. On December 22, 2019, the subsequent impasse between the White House and the now Democrat-controlled House brought about what, by January 12, had become the longest enduring government shutdown in U.S. history. On January 8, President Trump, considering the circumstance on the Mexican outskirt a ââ¬Å"humanitarian crisis,â⬠took steps to pronounce a national crisis, permitting him to circumvent Congress by requesting the utilization of as of now allotted assets for development of the fringe boundary. In a letter to Congress, the White House Office of Management and Budget gauge that the assets mentioned by President Trump would take into account the development of around 234 miles of steel fencing to be added to what was by then the 580 miles of boundary as of now set up at an expense of around $24.4 million for each mile, selective of continuous support. While the subsequent 814 miles of barrierâ fencing would leave roughly 1,140 miles of the 1,954-mile long fringe despite everything liberated from hindrances, the Department of Homeland Security had before expressed that not the entirety of the rest of the outskirt should have been fenced. Fringe Patrol authorities proposed that the characteristic perils of attempting to cross rough, barren desert regions by walking made fencing superfluous. On January 19, Democrats dismissed another migration change and fringe security bundle offered by President Trump, declining to haggle until and except if he finished the administration shutdown. On February 15, 2019, President Trump marked a trade off Homeland Security spending bill giving $1.375 billion to 55 miles of new outskirt fencing. That day, he followed through on his danger to proclaim a national crisis to fabricate the divider. Under the conditions of the crisis decree, $3.5 billion was diverted from the Defense Departmentââ¬â¢s military development spending plan to the development of new fringe divider. Furthermore, he utilized official requests to divert another $3.1 billion from the Departments of Defense and Treasuryââ¬â¢s tranquilize prohibition projects to divider building. White House authorities said the consolidated cash would pay for in any event 234 miles ââ¬Å"of new physical barrierâ⬠along the fringe. While no further subtleties were given, President Trump expressed in a Twitter post on March 8, 2019, that, ââ¬Å"The Wall is being assembled and is well under construction.â⬠History of the Border Barrier In 1924, Congress made the U.S. Fringe Patrol. Unlawful movement expanded in the late 1970s, however it was during the 1990s when medication dealing and illicit migration had a significant uptick and worries about the countries security turned into a significant issue. Fringe Control operators and the military prevailing with regards to decreasing the quantity of runners and unlawful intersections for a while, yet once the military left, action again expanded. After the September 11 psychological oppressor assaults in the U.S., country security was again a need. Numerous thoughts were hurled around during the following hardly any years on what should be possible to forever make sure about the outskirt. What's more, in 2006, the Secure Fence Act was passed to fabricate 700 miles of twofold strengthened security fencing in regions along the fringe inclined to tranquilize dealing and illicit movement. President Bush additionally sent 6,000 National Guardsmen to the Mexico fringe to help with outskirt control. Explanations behind the Border Barrier Verifiably, policing outskirts has been basic to the protection of countries around the world for a considerable length of time. The development of a boundary to shield American residents from criminal operations is considered by some to be in theâ best enthusiasm of the nation.à The experts of a fringe hindrance incorporate by and large country security, the expense of lost duty income and strain on government assets and the past triumphs of outskirt requirement. Increasing Cost of Illegal Immigration Illicit immigrationâ is evaluated to cost the United States a huge number of dollars, and as per Trump, $113 billion every year in lost personal duty income. Unlawful movement is viewed as a strain on government spending by overburdening social government assistance, wellbeing, and instruction programs. Fringe Enforcement Past Success The utilization of physical boundaries and innovative reconnaissance hardware builds the likelihood of worry and have given some achievement. Arizona has been the focal point of intersections by unlawful migrants for quite a while. In one year, specialists secured 8,600 individuals attempting to enter the U.S. wrongfully in the Barry M. Goldwater Air Force Range utilized for air-to-ground bombarding practice via Air Force pilots. The quantity of individuals discovered intersection San Diegos fringe illicitly has likewise dropped drastically. In the mid 1990s, around 600,000 individuals endeavored to cross the outskirt wrongfully. After the development of a fence and increasedâ border patrols,â that number dropped to 39,000 out of 2015. Reasons Against the Border Barrier The subject of the viability of a physical obstruction that has workarounds is a noteworthy worry to those contradicted to an outskirt hindrance. The obstruction has been scrutinized for being anything but difficult to get around. A few techniques incorporate burrowing under it, some of the time utilizing complex passage frameworks, climbing the fence and utilizing wire cutters to expel spiked metal or finding and diving gaps in defenseless segments of the outskirt. Numerous individuals have likewise gone by pontoon through the Gulf of Mexico, the Pacific Coast or fly in and outstay their visas. There are different concerns, for example, the message it sends to our neighbors and the remainder of the world and the human cost of intersection the fringe. Likewise, an outskirt divider influences natural life on the two sides, dividing the living space and upsetting basic creature movement patterns.â Message to the World A fragment of the American populace feels that the United States ought to communicate something specific of opportunity and would like to those looking for a superior lifestyle as opposed to sending a keep out message at our outskirt. It is proposed that the appropriate response doesn't lie in boundaries; it entailsâ comprehensive migration change, which implies these movement issues need fixing, rather than building wall, which are as compelling as putting a wrap on a vast injury. Likewise, an outskirt obstruction partitions the place where there is three indigenous countries. Human Toll on Crossing the Border Boundaries wont prevent individuals from needing a superior life. What's more, at times, theyre ready to address the greatest expense for the chance. Individuals bootleggers, called coyotes, charge galactic expenses for section. When carrying costs rise, it turns out to be less practical for people to go to and fro for regular work, so they stay in the U.S. Presently the entire family should make the outing to keep everybody together. Youngsters, newborn children and the older endeavor to cross. The conditions are outrageous and a few people will go for quite a long time without food or water. As per the Human Rights National C

Once you have the basic structure in place, you will want to write down the outline sentence by sentence. This will help you get a better grasp of the essence of the points that you want to focus on. The structure will always come first and you will w ant to leave room for each of the supporting details.Be sure to organize your outline in a way that makes sense. If you try to cram all of the data into one area, it will be much harder to sort through the information later on and will not be as organized as you would like.Ensure that your essay outline reflects your style. Most of the time, if you work in a certain format, then you will likely write in that same manner when you are outlining. If you have an essay outline that is far from the way you typically write, then you should rewrite your outline so that it matches the way you usually write. While writing an outline will help you get started on your new writing career, it is not the most important piece of the puzzle. You should always read as many books and articles as you can and keep an open mind to different styles and approaches to the writing process.

Each vampire strode out of the forest with a wild expression on their face while their brilliant bright red eyes glittered. The three of them came closer together once they saw how many of us there were. The female had long red curly hair and a catlike appearance. We will write a custom essay sample on The Twilight Saga 5: Midnight Sun 20. Tracker or any similar topic only for you Order Now The two males were both tall and built. As they came closer to my family I could understand their chaotic thoughts ââ¬â our family was large for our kind and civilized compared to most other nomads. I knew what these kind of vampires looked like already, so their torn clothes, disheveled hair and bare feet were not something that would take me off guard. All of their thoughts were thinking in sync with each other. How many vampires are there? They were all shocked as they made their way towards us. Our numbers were an unpleasant surprise to them. They drifted ever closer to us with extreme caution. Carlisle, Emmett and Jasper walked toward the approaching vampires to greet them, leaving only a short distance between us. I stationed myself securely in front of Bella. The visitors were cautiously looking around, mentally tabulating their chances of winning if a fight were to ensue. Once they began closing ranks with my family I began to listen carefully to their thoughts, making sure none of them sensed Bella for what she was ?C a human. Their eyes arenââ¬â¢t redâ⬠¦ butâ⬠¦ How weird. The vampire named Laurent thought. As they descended upon us I had already figured out their names. Each one of them was thinking about the other in turn. The vampire named Victoria was looking anxiously between Laurent and the other male vampire, James. She didnââ¬â¢t like the idea that James had to put Laurent in the front ?C to seem the leader of their coven but she was also grateful that he did because if there was an attack Laurent would be killed first and not her precious James. Her eyes darted in our direction. Why are they huddled around that one girl? Victoria thought. As she continued to look in our direction I concentrated on her thoughts alone. She was unknowingly absorbing the signs of the subtle differences between our kind and Bellaââ¬â¢s. Bella was the only human in a sea of vampires. The scent had not hit her yet. I began concentrating on the others thoughts also. James was a particularly vicious vampire. He was constantly gloating about how superior he was in his mind. James had caught sight of the many scars on Jaspers skin. Look at all of those battle scars. Iââ¬â¢ll keep my eye on him. He is the real danger of this coven. James was thinking strategy. I just donââ¬â¢t understand why so many would gather together like this. Laurent thought. My family and the visitors finally met. ââ¬Å"We thought we heard a game,â⬠Laurent said lazily. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m Laurent, these are Victoria and James.â⬠He gestured toward the others. Carlisle looked completely at ease as he spoke. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m Carlisle,â⬠he began in a hollow voice. ââ¬Å"This is my family, Emmett and Jasper, Rosalie, Esme and Alice, Edward and Bella.â⬠He pointed to each grouping as he spoke. The new comers still hadnââ¬â¢t caught scent of Bella but James was peering around me to her. He was noticing that her cheeks were tinged lightly with a pinkish glow and how her eyes were a dark chocolate brown. He stepped closer, unintentionally, to get a better look. ââ¬Å"Do you have room for a few more players?â⬠Laurent asked cordially. ââ¬Å"Actually, we were just finishing up. But weââ¬â¢d certainly be interested another time. Are you planning to stay in the area for long?â⬠Carlisle said in faux enthusiasm, though Laurent hadnââ¬â¢t noticed. How long do they plan to be in the area? Itââ¬â¢s doubtful they would be able to stay here for long. Victoria looked at us incredulously. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢re headed north, in fact, but we were curious to see who was in the neighborhood. We havenââ¬â¢t run into any company in a long time.â⬠Laurent replied amicably. There is something about the dark haired girl. James continued to look at her. His eyes wondered to mine as he continued to think strategically. He doesnââ¬â¢t seem like too much for a threat. He thought scathingly. I didnââ¬â¢t let my expression change ?C the less he knew about me and my ability, the better. Jasper could feel the extreme hostility emitting from James so he used his gift to calm him down, along with sending waves of calm to the other vampires. Jamesââ¬â¢ thoughts returned to the conversation once he heard Carlisleââ¬â¢s response. ââ¬Å"No, this region is usually empty except for us and the occasional visitor, like yourselves.â⬠Carlisle explained. Except for them? All three thought simultaneously. Jasper was truly talented. His continuous calm had changed the atmosphere into a more controllable situation. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s your hunting range?â⬠Laurent inquired. ââ¬Å"The Olympic Range here, up and down the Coast Ranges on occasion. We keep a permanent residence nearby. Thereââ¬â¢s another permanent settlement like ours up near Denali.â⬠Carlisle explained. A permanent residence? They all thought together. They never leave? How is that possible? Laurent thought in astonishment before voicing his question. ââ¬Å"Permanent? How do you manage that?â⬠he asked, intrigued. This could be our opportunity to get Bella away from here. Be ready to move her away from them. Carlisle directed his thoughts to me. ââ¬Å"Why donââ¬â¢t you come back to our home with us and we can talk comfortably?â⬠Carlisle invited. ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s a rather long story,â⬠he explained. Home? Victoria and James thought together and then exchanged incredulous looks. ââ¬Å"That sounds very interesting, and welcome.â⬠Laurent smiled while choosing his words carefully. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢ve been on the hunt all the way down from Ontario, and we havenââ¬â¢t had the chance to clean up in a while.â⬠I wonder what it is like to be so clean and dressed so nicely all the time, Laurent wondered. ââ¬Å"Please donââ¬â¢t take offense, but weââ¬â¢d appreciate it if youââ¬â¢d refrain from hunting in this immediate area. We have to stay inconspicuous, you understand.â⬠Carlisle asked politely. ââ¬Å"Of course,â⬠Laurent nodded. ââ¬Å"We certainly wonââ¬â¢t encroach on your territory. We just ate outside of Seattle, anyway,â⬠he laughed while picturing his last prey and the kill. What? You idiot! Why would you agree to that? James roared in apparent displeasure. I could feel Bella shaking and I tried to hide her obvious human tendencies from the visitors. The constant deluge of thoughts had me struggling trying to keep up with everything. I focused on the threat and Carlisle. Get ready to get her out of here! Carlisle ordered me. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢ll show you the way if youââ¬â¢d like to run with us ?C Emmett and Alice, you can go with Edward and Bella to get the Jeep,â⬠Carlisle said as casually as possible while inconspicuously directing Emmett and Alice of what to do. I could hear the wind from a mile away before it hit us. Alice looked at me frantically for a fraction of a second as she realized this, too, and her vision of us escaping unscathed shifted abruptly. I saw it flash and in that second I realized what was going to happen. The wind was only a second away and I was prepared. Suddenly the wind blew Bellaââ¬â¢s hair off her neck and sent her fragrance soaring towards the other vampires. James turned to face her as many thoughts went running through his head. I was preparing to protect Bella. Her scent had been punctuated by the moisture in the air, just like always. A howling rush of anxious thoughts came flowing out of my families minds as they realized the danger. Ummmâ⬠¦what a delicious scent, he thought hungrily. His nostrils flared to bring her scent deeper into his lungs, he crouched down, preparing to spring. His eyes narrowed while coming closer to Bella. I was a step ahead of him and so was my family because they had caught her scent strongly on the wind before he did. He was not going to lay a single finger on Bella. My protective side took over and a ferocious snarl ripped up my throat menacingly towards James. I met his gaze unflinchingly and he was suddenly very still like a dog whoââ¬â¢s hunting a rabbit, ready to attack. ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s this?â⬠Laurent exclaimed in surprise. Why are they protecting her? She is just a human and an exceptionally frail one at that! This is going to be harder than my last hunt. James thought in a sinister way, determined to seize her at the first opportunity. His thoughts continued on a visual basis as I saw that he would pick victims who were harder to catch and track them down ââ¬â delighting in the hunt. He continued to dwell on his satisfying memories of his obsession. The harder the kill, the more thrilling he found it. A sickening jolt ran through my stomach as I realized that if we didnââ¬â¢t kill him now that he would continue to hunt Bella until she was dead. I shifted simultaneously with each movement he was planning to make. ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s with us,â⬠Carlisle claimed quickly, almost in a threat. The scent didnââ¬â¢t register with Laurent or Victoria for a few seconds longer. When it finally registered with them the scent was obviously not as strong to them as it was to James. ââ¬Å"You brought a snack?â⬠Laurent had a smile spread across his face as he took a step forward, ignoring everyoneââ¬â¢s protective stance. He was resisting the temptation much easier than James. A small horrified gasp exited Bellaââ¬â¢s lips. Another growl ripped up my throat, harsher than before. My teeth were showing and it sent a jolt of unease down Laurentââ¬â¢s spine. He stepped back. ââ¬Å"I said sheââ¬â¢s with us,â⬠Carlisle looked tense and protective. ââ¬Å"But sheââ¬â¢s human,â⬠Laurent protested with a quizzical look on his face, slightly taken aback. Maybe this is how they stay inconspicuousâ⬠¦keeping a human as a pet? ââ¬Å"Yes,â⬠Emmett replied while stepping towards James. Laurent knew better than to become aggressive when there were so many vampires protecting Bella. He caught sight of Jasper who had his hands clenched so tightly that his scars shown pearly white. He looked quickly away and towards James while giving him a dark look. What the hell are you doing? Are you trying to get us killed? He thought. James slowly pulled out of his crouch but his thoughts and eyes were still on Bella. No matter what happened now, he was going to hunt her. Tonight ?C she will be mine, James thought excitedly. This should make for a much more interesting sport, he continued and it was obvious that our presence made the hunt considerably more interesting. I refused to move from my protective stance, remaining forcibly in his way. Jasperââ¬â¢s waves of calm were working on the other two vampires but not on James. He seemed completely unaffected, like his body overrode it for the mere thought of a hunt as intriguing as this one would be. This one should be fun; I bet James is already making plans. Victoria thought while failing extravagantly to hide the excitement of the hunt on her face. ââ¬Å"It appears we have a lot to learn about each other,â⬠Laurent spoke smoothly, trying to placate the situation. ââ¬Å"Indeed,â⬠Carlisleââ¬â¢s voice was relatively calm. I donââ¬â¢t understand the fascination. ââ¬Å"But weââ¬â¢d like to accept your invitation.â⬠Laurentââ¬â¢s eyes darted toward Bella and me and then quickly away. Goodâ⬠¦Good, keep talking. This should help me out, James thought while his face lit up with a feverous fanatical glow. ââ¬Å"And, of course, we will not harm the human girl. We wonââ¬â¢t hunt in your range, as I said.â⬠Laurent added. James threw him a disgruntled look. Well that doesnââ¬â¢t help me out at all, he thought angrily. Orâ⬠¦maybe this will bring them into a false sense of security and they will let their guard down, James continued to plan in his head. Carlisle studied Laurentââ¬â¢s expression for several seconds. He seems to be handling this relatively well. I donââ¬â¢t think inviting them over will hurt anything, Carlisle contemplated. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢ll show you the way. Jasper, Rosalie, Esme?â⬠he called. All three of them moved forward blocking Bella from their view. Alice bounded up next to Bella while Emmett walked backwards to us, never letting James out of his sight, knowing that I could see everything he saw. Iââ¬â¢m coming with you, Edward. I wonââ¬â¢t let anything happen to Bella, Emmett thought protectively. We need to leave now, Alice thought urgently. ââ¬Å"Letââ¬â¢s go, Bella.â⬠I commanded. Bella didnââ¬â¢t move; her eyes were wide in terror and shock. I grabbed her by the elbow and pulled her towards the jeep. Emmett and Alice stayed behind me, protecting both of us from any form of attack they might try to come at us with, all of us working as a seamless team. We donââ¬â¢t have much time, Edward. James will be after Bella shortly. Carlisle wonââ¬â¢t be able to stall them for long. Alice looked upset. My impatience of her slow human pace was unbearable so by the time we reached the forest edge I threw Bella on my back as gentle as I could without slowing down and then I ran for it. Emmett and Alice were struggling to keep up with me; I was flying through the forest in a fury trying to get Bella away from the danger. I knew that this whole experience was jarring for Bella but the most important thing right now was for her to be safe. When we arrived next to the jeep I opened the door to the backseat and practically threw her in as the rest of us hurried into the Jeep. The key was protruding from the ignition already and I turned it quickly while the engine roared to life. ââ¬Å"Strap her in,â⬠I ordered Emmett who was already in the backseat. We have to go ?C now! Alice shouted from her head. She was already sitting in the passengerââ¬â¢s seat looking extremely anxious. Her thoughts were unnecessary because I was already spinning the Jeep around to face the mountain road. Hurry, heââ¬â¢s close. Aliceââ¬â¢s eyes were wide with terror for Bella. I was muttering ferociously while several profanities come through my lips, words that I would never use in front of a lady. Emmett and Alice were on full alert, constantly updating me in their thoughts at what was going on around us. I canââ¬â¢t hear or see anything. Emmett informed me urgently. He lost Bellaââ¬â¢s scent once we took off in the Jeep, she explained to me, relaxing slightly. I watched Bella in the review mirror and through Emmettââ¬â¢s eyes. She was bouncing up and down on the seat, her eyes wide. I suddenly wished Jasper had come along with us to keep her calm. Go south, they will split up but the prospects of them finding us are slim. Oh, she paused in thought, looks like they arenââ¬â¢t planning to leave so quickly after everything after all. I wonder what they are going to do, Alice tried to look further in the future but there were too many decisions that hadnââ¬â¢t been decided yet. I turned south on the main road. ââ¬Å"Where are we going?â⬠Bella finally spoke with a squeak. No one answered her. Just tell her, Alice commanded. I shook my head slightly. Emmett realized we were having one of our private conversations and understood what I was answering. ââ¬Å"Dammit, Edward! Where are you taking me?â⬠Bella shouted this time, looking horrified. I looked in the review mirror at her slightly crest fallen face and it broke my resolve. ââ¬Å"We have to get you away from here ?C far away ?C now.â⬠I said hastily. I pressed the accelerator down harder at my words while the Jeepââ¬â¢s speed reached a hundred and five miles an hour. ââ¬Å"Turn around! You have to take me home!â⬠she vehemently exclaimed. This is exactly why I didnââ¬â¢t want to tell her where we were going because I knew that she would demand what I couldnââ¬â¢t give her. I looked in the review mirror again to see her face. She was fighting with the harness, tearing at the straps with tears welling up in her eyes. ââ¬Å"Emmett,â⬠I called. Emmett looked down at her while she was angrily grasping at the straps. Jeez, she is in a fury. Emmett thought. He brought his hands to her wrists and held them tightly in his grasp. Bella looked in the review mirror with pure anguish in her eyes. ââ¬Å"No! Edward! No, you canââ¬â¢t do this,â⬠she cried out. When she begged and pleaded with me like this it broke my heart. I returned her gaze in the mirror. ââ¬Å"I have to, Bella, now please be quiet.â⬠I implored. She was stubborn, as always. ââ¬Å"I wonââ¬â¢t! You have to take me back ?C Charlie will call the FBI! Theyââ¬â¢ll be all over your family ?C Carlisle and Esme! Theyââ¬â¢ll have to leave, to hide forever!â⬠She shouted with a tragic expression displayed on her face. Of course Bella was being selfless. It was just in her nature to care about everyone else when her life was in danger. This was nothing to our family ââ¬â the FBI ?C itââ¬â¢s happened before with Jasper and Emmett. ââ¬Å"Calm down, Bella.â⬠I commanded. ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢ve been there before,â⬠I was almost crying with exasperation. ââ¬Å"Not over me, you donââ¬â¢t! Youââ¬â¢re not ruining everything over me!â⬠she began struggling under Emmettââ¬â¢s hold. Edward, what do you want me to do? I donââ¬â¢t want to hurt her but she is going to hurt herself with all of her struggling. Emmett thoughts became worried immediately. ââ¬Å"Edward, pull over,â⬠Alice directed. Bella has a good plan if you will just listen to her. I gave Alice a grave look while pressing the gas down even harder, showing her that I wasnââ¬â¢t even going to slow down, let alone pull over. ââ¬Å"Edward, letââ¬â¢s just talk this through,â⬠she continued. Heââ¬â¢s not following us; he actually has no idea where we went. Now pull over, she inclined her head toward the roads shoulder. ââ¬Å"You donââ¬â¢t understand,â⬠I yelled in frustration. Alice had no idea that James was a tracker ââ¬â that when he hunted his prey he never gave up and always conquered. I couldnââ¬â¢t bring Bella back to Forks, he would find her and she would be in danger again. If she were to die, I would too. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s a tracker, Alice, did you see that? Heââ¬â¢s a tracker!â⬠I shouted. Crap! Emmett looked grim. ââ¬Å"Pull over, Edward.â⬠Do it now! We have to talk about this now! We are in this together and we all have to make the decisions together. That includes Bella! Alice raised her eyebrows like she was daring me to disagree with her. I looked down at the speedometer as the Jeep had reached one-twenty. ââ¬Å"Do it, Edward,â⬠Alice said to me in a bossy disapproving voice while glaring at me. She needed to understand, I had to explain to her but I didnââ¬â¢t want to say this in front of Bella. I didnââ¬â¢t want her to be more terrorized than she already was. I looked into the review mirror again as I saw Bellaââ¬â¢s encouraging eyes telling me to pull over. Her heart was hammering loudly in her chest and her scent was circling all of us in the Jeep, emphasizing her human frailness. I closed my eyes for a fraction of a second, hoping when I opened them again that this would all be over with. I couldnââ¬â¢t stop, I must keep going! ââ¬Å"Listen to me, Alice,â⬠I gave her a reproachful look. ââ¬Å"I saw his mind. Tracking is his passion, his obsession ?C and he wants her, Alice ?C her, specifically. He begins the hunt tonight.â⬠ââ¬Å"He doesnââ¬â¢t know where ?Câ⬠Alice began but I cut her off. ââ¬Å"How long do you think it will take him to cross her scent in town? His plan was already set before the words were out of Laurentââ¬â¢s mouth.â⬠I heard a faint gasp come from Bellaââ¬â¢s lips and I looked quickly in the review mirror to see her lips parted in pure horror. ââ¬Å"Charlie! You canââ¬â¢t leave him there! You canââ¬â¢t leave him!â⬠she shouted and began thrashing against Emmett and the harness with nothing but pure worry in her expression. ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s right,â⬠Alice said while she looked to the future and then she looked at me in horror. I quickly dived into her mind, her vision was devastating. Bella! She will be so hurt and broken I donââ¬â¢t know if we could fix her if Charlie is killed. We have to stop him ?C now! At the thought of what this could do to her I automatically slowed down. I didnââ¬â¢t want her to die, but I could protect her from himâ⬠¦ but I couldnââ¬â¢t protect her from the agony, the grief that she would have to suffer if her father was killed. It would be torture to see her in such pain or worse, if she finally took the blame off herself and realized it was entirely my fault and refused to let me comfort her. Alice could almost see my brain hard at work. ââ¬Å"Letââ¬â¢s just look at our options for a minute,â⬠she said coaxingly, knowing that I was deep in thought about our options. The Jeep slowed as I took my foot off the accelerator slowly and the speedometer showed the Jeep slowing down to ninety miles an hour. In Aliceââ¬â¢s vision James would give Victoria the first kill ?C Charlie. Victoria was his mate and they were extremely vicious together, feeding off of each otherââ¬â¢s ruthlessness. She would display Charlieââ¬â¢s dead body to try and coax us back ?C and it would work! I slammed the brakes while pulling into the shoulder. I felt horribly powerless. The car behind me screeched to a halt too and honked their horn. I saw Bella slam back into the seat and I was instantly nervous I had done something to hurt her but she looked unscathed. I turned to look at Alice. ââ¬Å"There are no options,â⬠I howled. To bring her back when that monster was hunting her ?C I just couldnââ¬â¢t bare it if something were to happen. My brain was in limbo. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m not leaving Charlie!â⬠Bella yelled louder than I had ever heard but I ignored her. ââ¬Å"We have to take her back,â⬠Emmett said quietly. ââ¬Å"No,â⬠I said with authority. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢s no match for us, Edward. He wonââ¬â¢t be able to touch her,â⬠Emmett promised. ââ¬Å"Heââ¬â¢ll wait,â⬠I explained. Weââ¬â¢ll beat him at his own game then! ââ¬Å"I can wait, too.â⬠Emmett said while grinning widely. ââ¬Å"You didnââ¬â¢t see ?C you donââ¬â¢t understand. Once he commits to a hunt, heââ¬â¢s unshakeable. Weââ¬â¢d have to kill him.â⬠I shouted. And this is a problem because? ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s an option,â⬠he replied unperturbed. I was becoming angrier because I knew I was going to lose this argument. ââ¬Å"And the female. Sheââ¬â¢s with him. If it turns into a fight, the leader will go with them, too.â⬠Three against seven? Please! ââ¬Å"There are enough of us.â⬠ââ¬Å"Thereââ¬â¢s another option,â⬠Alice replied quietly. She saw what Bella was planning in her head and the only way she saw this plan was if it was a possibility. This made me angrier than before. ââ¬Å"There ?C is ?C no ?C other ?C option!â⬠I shouted. I could see the shock on Bella and Emmettââ¬â¢s face in the mirror. I turned to look at Alice. She has a good plan and you know it! Alice barked in her head. I continued to stare at her with deepest dislike. If she doesnââ¬â¢t convince James that she is no longer in Forks than he will let Victoria kill Charlie. You canââ¬â¢t let that happen. What would Carlisle say? I continued to glare at her and her logic. ââ¬Å"Does anyone want to hear my plan?â⬠Bella asked. ââ¬Å"No,â⬠I growled because I already knew her plan and disagreed with it. Iââ¬â¢ve had enough of this! Alice glared at me so menacingly I almost thought she was going to burn holes through me. ââ¬Å"Listen,â⬠Bella pleaded desperately. ââ¬Å"You take me back.â⬠ââ¬Å"No,â⬠I cut in. I turned to look at her and now she was glaring at me. ââ¬Å"You take me back,â⬠she continued anyway. ââ¬Å"I tell my dad I want to go home to Phoenix. I pack my bags. We wait till this tracker is watching, and then we run. Heââ¬â¢ll follow us and leave Charlie alone. Charlie wonââ¬â¢t call the FBI on your family. Then you can take me any damned place you want.â⬠Wow! I like her style. She fights dirty! Emmett looked surprised. Just let her do this, Edward. Alice continued to glare at me. ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s not a bad idea, really.â⬠Emmett allowed. ââ¬Å"It might work ?C and we simply canââ¬â¢t leave her father unprotected. You know that,â⬠Alice replied in a I told you so tone. Everyoneââ¬â¢s eyes were on me. I took in a deep breath. ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s too dangerous ?C I donââ¬â¢t want him within a hundred miles of her.â⬠ââ¬Å"Edward, heââ¬â¢s not getting through us,â⬠Emmett said confidently. I wish I were as confident as he was. I looked at Alice because she started flitting through the future again. Ah, yes, the future is getting clearer. I seeâ⬠¦ ââ¬Å"I donââ¬â¢t see him attacking. Heââ¬â¢ll try to wait for us to leave her alone.â⬠ââ¬Å"It wonââ¬â¢t take long for him to realize thatââ¬â¢s not going to happen,â⬠Emmett said. ââ¬Å"I demand that you take me home.â⬠Bella said firmly. My brain was swelling with the onslaught of information ?C the past events, the present and the future. Bringing my fingers to my temples and squeezing my eyes shut while trying to dispel all thoughts was useless but I tried anyway. ââ¬Å"Please,â⬠Bella whispered a cry. I knew I had to do what was best for Bella all around, not what was just best for me. I decided a compromise would be the best I could deal with. ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re leaving tonight, whether the tracker sees or not. You tell Charlie that you canââ¬â¢t stand another minute in Forks. Tell him whatever story works. Pack the first things your hands touch, and then get in your truck. I donââ¬â¢t care what he says to you. You have fifteen minutes. Do you hear me? Fifteen minutes from the time you cross the doorstep.â⬠I conceded. The engine roared to life as I turned the key. I whipped the truck around while listening to everyoneââ¬â¢s thoughts. I knew this was going to happen, Alice thought smugly. Yes! We get to fight! Hell yes! Emmett rejoiced. ââ¬Å"Emmett?â⬠Bella said. I looked in the mirror and she was looking down at her hands. ââ¬Å"Oh, sorry.â⬠Emmett said while letting go of her wrists. This is the most exciting thing since mine and Jasperââ¬â¢s trip to Africa. I hope Edward always keeps Bella around, everything is always so interesting! Emmett continued to think happy thoughts the whole way back to Forks. While everyone else was silent I was working plans in my head. ââ¬Å"This is how itââ¬â¢s going to happen,â⬠I began to explain our strategy. ââ¬Å"When we get to the house, if the tracker is not there, I will walk her to the door. Then she has fifteen minutes.â⬠I gave Bella a dark look in the mirror to let her know I wasnââ¬â¢t going to change my mind on this point. ââ¬Å"Emmett, you take the outside of the house. Alice, you get the truck. Iââ¬â¢ll be inside as long as she is. After sheââ¬â¢s out, you two can take the Jeep home and tell Carlisle.â⬠What? No fight! ââ¬Å"No way,â⬠Emmett interrupted. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m with you.â⬠I sighed. ââ¬Å"Think it through, Emmett. I donââ¬â¢t know how long Iââ¬â¢ll be gone.â⬠I explained. You arenââ¬â¢t going to ruin this for me. ââ¬Å"Until we know how far this is going to go, Iââ¬â¢m with you,â⬠Emmett said with authority. A growl almost escaped my lips. ââ¬Å"If the tracker is there,â⬠I frowned, ââ¬Å"we keep driving.â⬠No worries! ââ¬Å"Weââ¬â¢re going to make it there before him,â⬠Alice said with confidence. Oh no you donââ¬â¢t, Edward, Iââ¬â¢m staying with her. She thought when I planned to send her home.â⬠What are we going to do with the Jeep?â⬠Alice asked to provoke me. I gritted my teeth as I spoke. ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢re driving it home.â⬠No way! ââ¬Å"No, Iââ¬â¢m not!â⬠she said coolly. Tonight I just couldnââ¬â¢t help myself, a stream of profanities come through my lips, but low enough I was sure Bella couldnââ¬â¢t hear them. Would she think of me as a gentleman after this? What a dumb thing to be thinking about in such a crucial moment, I thought to myself. ââ¬Å"We can all fit in my truck,â⬠Bella said quietly. I ignored her, she wasnââ¬â¢t helping my cause. ââ¬Å"I think you should let me go alone,â⬠Bella said even more quietly, purposely provoking me. I clenched my teeth and breathed through them slowly. ââ¬Å"Bella, please just do this my way, just this once.â⬠ââ¬Å"Listen, Charlieââ¬â¢s not an imbecile,â⬠she continued like she hadnââ¬â¢t heard me. ââ¬Å"If youââ¬â¢re not in town tomorrow, heââ¬â¢s going to get suspicious.â⬠Why does she continually worry about me when she should be worried about herself? Beautiful, selfless, warm, trusting humanâ⬠¦why do you do this to me? I roared internally. ââ¬Å"Thatââ¬â¢s irrelevant. Weââ¬â¢ll make sure heââ¬â¢s safe, and thatââ¬â¢s all that matters.â⬠I told her. I could see her rebuttal churning in her eyes before she spoke. ââ¬Å"Then what about this tracker? He saw the way you acted tonight. Heââ¬â¢s going to think youââ¬â¢re with me, wherever you are.â⬠Where on earth did this creature come from? Emmett wondered. ââ¬Å"Edward, listen to her,â⬠he urged. ââ¬Å"I think sheââ¬â¢s right,â⬠Emmett said, positively delighted. Hum, she has a point. ââ¬Å"Yes, she is,â⬠Alice agreed. They already convinced me to come back to Forks and bring her back to the vampire who hunted her and now they expect me to stay behind! ââ¬Å"I canââ¬â¢t do that.â⬠I barked. It was true, it was almost physically impossible for me to leave her now. ââ¬Å"Emmett should stay, too. He definitely got an eyeful of Emmett.â⬠She continued. You have got to be kidding me! Sheââ¬â¢s turning on me now! ââ¬Å"What?â⬠Emmettââ¬â¢s eyes narrowed in her direction. Iââ¬â¢ll placate him. Donââ¬â¢t worry. ââ¬Å"Youââ¬â¢ll get a better crack at him if you stay,â⬠Alice suggested. The way they were planning was driving me insane. I had to put my foot down at some point. ââ¬Å"You think I should let her go alone?â⬠I said incredulously. Do you think Iââ¬â¢m an idiot? ââ¬Å"Of course not. Jasper and I will take her.â⬠Duh. I felt like I was being beaten down. They were making sense and I knew it, but I just couldnââ¬â¢t stand the pain if something was to happen to her and I wasnââ¬â¢t there to protect her. ââ¬Å"I canââ¬â¢t do that.â⬠I repeated. Bella spoke up, ââ¬Å"Hang out here for a week ?Câ⬠I looked at her in the mirror and she could see my I donââ¬â¢t think so expression and amended ââ¬Å"- a few days. Let Charlie see you havenââ¬â¢t kidnapped me, and lead this James on a wild-goose chase. Make sure heââ¬â¢s completely off my trail. Then come and meet me. Take a roundabout route, of course, and then Jasper and Alice can go home.â⬠It will work. Really. Alice thought to me. ââ¬Å"Meet you where?â⬠I conceded, curiosity getting the best of me. ââ¬Å"Phoenix.â⬠She said matter-of-factly. ââ¬Å"No. Heââ¬â¢ll hear thatââ¬â¢s where youââ¬â¢re going,â⬠I said impatiently. Oh! Great planâ⬠¦Alice thought seeing what Bella would say before she spoke again. ââ¬Å"And youââ¬â¢ll make it look like thatââ¬â¢s a ruse, obviously. Heââ¬â¢ll know that weââ¬â¢ll know that heââ¬â¢s listening. Heââ¬â¢ll never believe Iââ¬â¢m actually going where I say I am going.â⬠Interesting, always interesting. ââ¬Å"Sheââ¬â¢s diabolical,â⬠Emmett began to chuckle and I ignored him. ââ¬Å"And if that doesnââ¬â¢t work?â⬠I muttered. ââ¬Å"There are several million people in Phoenix,â⬠she informed me like that settled it. How did our conversation end up like this ?C here, in Forks embracing danger? We should be a hundred miles away by now! ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s not that hard to find a phone book,â⬠I said grimly. ââ¬Å"I wonââ¬â¢t go home,â⬠she said happily. This is entertaining, really. Emmett thought with another chuckle in his head. I wanted to roll my eyes at her or shake some sense into her. Maybe she had lost her mind with the stress of the ordeal. ââ¬Å"Oh?â⬠I asked, utterly perplexed. ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢m quite old enough to get my own place,â⬠she smiled at me in the mirror. It wonââ¬â¢t come to that. Donââ¬â¢t worry. ââ¬Å"Edward, weââ¬â¢ll be with her,â⬠Alice winked at me. Everyone had lost their minds. A sadistic vampire was hunting Bella and everyone had turned it into a big joke! ââ¬Å"What are you going to do in Phoenix?â⬠I rebuked. If I have time, shop. She thought but pretended that she didnââ¬â¢t think that when she looked at me and replied, ââ¬Å"Stay indoors.â⬠I threw her a disgruntled look. With Jasper gone Edward and I can track this James down and kill him! ââ¬Å"I kind of like it.â⬠Emmett grinned stupidly. I glared at him. ââ¬Å"Shut up, Emmett,â⬠I commanded and I meant that for his thoughts too. It didnââ¬â¢t stop him. ââ¬Å"Look, if we try to take him down while sheââ¬â¢s still around, thereââ¬â¢s a much better chance that someone will get hurt ?C sheââ¬â¢ll get hurt, or you will, trying to protect her. Now, if we get him aloneâ⬠¦Ã¢â¬ we can hack him up into little pieces and burn him! Emmett finished in his thoughts with another wide grin spreading across his face at the thought. I saw the bright orange streetlights as they grew brighter and larger as Forks loomed into view. We had finally arrived back in town and I was suddenly anxious that our plan wonââ¬â¢t work. The streets were empty and it felt like it was an ominous sign. Alice could see the grim expression on my face. Sheââ¬â¢ll be fine, Edward, Iââ¬â¢ve seen it. Alice thought calmy. ââ¬Å"Bella,â⬠I began while Alice and Emmett became alert immediately, gazing raptly out the windows. ââ¬Å"If you let anything happen to yourself ?C anything at all ?C Iââ¬â¢m holding you personally responsible. Do you understand that?â⬠I said softly. I heard her loud gulp. ââ¬Å"Yes,â⬠she whispered. I looked at Alice who turned back to me. ââ¬Å"Can Jasper handle this?â⬠He cares for Bella, too. ââ¬Å"Give him some credit, Edward. Heââ¬â¢s been doing very, very well, all things considered.â⬠I raised an eyebrow. ââ¬Å"Can you handle this?â⬠I asked. I have fewer problems handling it then you do. Iââ¬â¢d never hurt Bella. How dare you. Alice thought while a growl ripped up her throat and she pulled back her lips to show her gleaming teeth. Coming from Alice, the very tiny Alice, made me smile despite the events of this evening. ââ¬Å"But keep your opinions to yourself,â⬠I said harshly, knowing that the knowledge of her visions would be too much for Bella to handle. You mean the one where I think you should change her into a vampire so she can live with us forever? She thought with great smugness. I grimaced while pulling into Bellaââ¬â¢s driveway, looking out at the dark grounds surrounding her house. A lump formed in my throat at the thought of what had to happen next. Political corruption in the 1800ââ¬â¢s destroyed the City of New York. The combination of feuding police forces and increasing gang activity in the mid 1800ââ¬â¢s made New York a very unsafe place. In 1857, the feuds and rivalries of the police had culminated and turned New York City into a war zone. New York State created its own police district in 1857, which compromised the cityââ¬â¢s force. New York then had two police departments, of equal strength and each regarding the other as an outlaw force. One was Fernando Woodââ¬â¢s Municipal Police and the other was the stateââ¬â¢s Metropolitan Police, headed by Frederick Talmadge. The decent people of the city began to worry, knowing that the day would soon come when they would be left alone on corrupted streets to fend for themselves. The feud raged just as the people had thought. Members of the two forces were no longer concerned with the publicââ¬â¢s safety and became entirely tied up in their vendettas against each other. Criminals were thriving on the feud. Respectable people were now being held up at gunpoint in broad daylight. The officers would literally fight over a criminal and allow the assailant to escape while differences were settled. The city was mayhem, and was overflowing with corruption. The police riot on the steps of city hall, on June 16, 1857, was the culmination of the forcesââ¬â¢ corruption. The Republicans at Albany shortened Mayor Fernando Wood's second term of office from two years to one while creating the Metropolitan Police Force, with Frederick Talmadge as superintendent. Talmadge demanded that Wood disband the Municipal Police and Wood refused urging his men to stand by him. Municipal superintendent George W. Matsell, 15 captains and 800 patrolmen of the Municipal Police backed Mayor Wood. 300 others abandoned him. Captain George W. The Study of Suicide by Emile Durkheim Le Suicideà by founding sociologist Ãâ°mile Durkheim is a classic text in sociology that is widely taught to psychology students. Published in 1897, the book was the first to present a sociological study of suicide, and its conclusion that suicide can have origins in social causes rather than just being due to individual temperament, was groundbreaking at the time. Key Takeaways: Social Integration and Suicide Durkheim concluded that the more socially integrate and connected a person is, the less likely he or she is to commit suicide. As social integration decreases, people are more likely to commit suicide. Overview of Durkheim's Text Suicide offers an examination of how suicide rates at the time differed by religion. Specifically, Durkheim analyzed differences between Protestants and Catholics. He found a lower rate of suicide among Catholics and theorized that this was due to stronger forms of social control and cohesion among them than among Protestants. Demographics of Suicide: Study Findings Additionally, Durkheim found that suicide was less common among women than men, more common among single people than among those who are romantically partnered, and less common among those who have children. Further, he found that soldiers commit suicide more often than civilians and that curiously, rates of suicide are higher during peacetime than they are during wars. Correlation vs. Causation: Suicides Driving Forces Based on his gleanings from data, Durkheim argued that suicide can be a result not only of psychological or emotional factors but of social factors as well. Durkheim reasoned that social integration, in particular, is a factor. The more socially integrated a person is- connected to society, possessing of a feeling of general belonging and a sense that life makes sense within the social context- the less likely he or she is to commit suicide. As social integration decreases, people are more likely to commit suicide. Durkheims Typology of Suicide Durkheim developed a theoretical typology of suicide to explain the differing effects of social factors and how they might lead to suicide: Anomic suicide is an extreme response by a person who experiences anomie,à a sense of disconnection from society and a feeling of not belonging resulting from weakened social cohesion. Anomie occurs during periods of serious social, economic, or political upheaval, which result in quick and extreme changes to society and everyday life. In such circumstances, a person might feel so confused and disconnected that they choose to commit suicide.ââ¬â¹Altruistic suicide is often a result of excessive regulation of individuals by social forces such that a person may be moved to kill themselves for the benefit of a cause or for society at large. An example is someone who commits suicide for the sake of a religious or political cause, such as the infamous Japanese Kamikaze pilots of World War II, or the hijackers that crashed the airplanes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania in 2001. In such social circumstances, people are so strongly integrated into s ocial expectations and society itself that they will kill themselves in an effort to achieve collective goals. Egoistic suicideà is a profound response executed by people who feel totally detached from society. Ordinarily, people are integrated into society by work roles, ties to family and community, and other social bonds. When these bonds are weakened through retirement or loss of family and friends, the likelihood of egoistic suicide increases. Elderly people, who suffer these losses most profoundly, are highly susceptible to egoistic suicide.Fatalistic suicideà occurs under conditions of extreme social regulation resulting in oppressive conditions and a denial of the self and of agency. In such a situation a person may elect to die rather than continue enduring the oppressive conditions, such as the case of suicide among prisoners.

FINANCIAL REPORTING & ANALYSIS of IASB Conceptual Framework for Financial Reporting - Essay Example The framework can help the users of the conceptual framework in interpreting and analyzing the information existing within the financial statement as it provides an in-depth understanding of the principles on the basis of which the framework is produced. In theoretical concept the conceptual framework will provide development in the accounting standard. But in practical the economic, social and political factors play a vital role in influencing the assistance that is provided by the standards. The various requirements of the regulators of capital market and the reaction or response of the public towards the accounting issues and the situation of credit crunch which began in the year 2007 will generally influence the process of standard setting (Kabalski, 2009). The framework that is developed for the preparation of financial statements includes the recognition, definition and measurement of the various elements on the basis of which the financial statements are developed, the objective for preparation of financial statements and the concept of capital maintenance (Horngren, 1985). The Financial Accounting Standard Board and the International Accounting standard board have developed a conceptual framework for the purpose of financial reporting. The main objective of introducing this framework understands the concept, the scope and characteristics that the entity is required to apply or adopt. Before the convergence of the accounting standards the accountants had to face many difficulties due to the differences in the standard provided by the FASB and IASB. The criticism for conceptual framework is based on the epistemological and ontological hypothesis. Accounting is mainly based on the notion that is subjective in nature Example is the accountants generally play an important role in selecting proper accounting method and then applying them. Child abuse does not discriminate against a child because of age, sex, religion, or socioeconomic background. Every child is vulnerable to abuse. Parents today face the possibility that someone they know or a stranger may hurt or take advantage of their children. Research indicates that as many as one out of every four children will be the victims of some kind of abuse (National Child Abuse Statistics). Furthermore, one of the biggest ironies of child abuse is that the family, a childââ¬â¢s primary source of care, love, and security, can also be their most taunting experience. This was the case of 17 month old baby, Peter Connelly. Throughout his short life span, he suffered from neglect and physical abuse that ultimately caused his death. Child abuse is a serious problem that is being taken too lightly. Peter Connelly was born March 1st, 2007 in Haringey, London. In a two month period Peterââ¬â¢s father moved out of the house, while his mother Tracey Connelly met a new guy Steven Baker at a club. On October 13th Peter was taken to the doctorââ¬â¢s office with bruises to the side of his head. His mother told the authorities that he fell out of his crib. Sometime around December Peters mothers thirty-two year old boyfriend, Steven Baker, moves into the home. Within the same month he was rushed to the emergency room with head injuries, bruising to the bridge of the nose, sternum, right shoulder and buttocks. Peterââ¬â¢s mother said he fell off of his seat. Ultimately, his case was referred to social services. Peter was given temporarily to a friend of the family. Pursing this further, on January 26th Peter is returned to his mother, even though Tracey Connelly was still on bail for assaulting and neglecting the baby. Time... ...Baby P Death Named." Branaghââ¬â¢s vision of William Shakespeareââ¬â¢s famous ââ¬Å"To be, or not to be,â⬠soliloquy manifests Hamletââ¬â¢s displeasure with himself as he debates eternal sleep; the set up of this scene contributes significantly to the emotional impact and symbolism. The lack of music and sound in the beginning forces the audienceââ¬â¢s attention towards the soliloquy. The quietness in the scene also exhibits how Hamlet is wishing for a quiet death, suicide. Walking slowly towards the two-way mirror, while he professes his conflicted feelings, the camera follows steadily over his shoulder, only filming Hamletââ¬â¢s reflection. The soliloquy stands alone as a reflection, Hamlet is reflecting on his life and the options he has, ââ¬Å"To die, to sleep ââ¬â / No more ââ¬â and by a sleep to say we endâ⬠(3.1 68-69). The mirror reflection stands as a symbolic example of Hamletââ¬â¢s self reflection and his search to find the answer within himself. Hamlet criticizes himself while staring deeply at his own reflection in mirror, even though he is aware of Claudius malicious acts. Blaming himself for not taking action yet, ââ¬Å"Thus conscience does make cowardsâ⬠(3.1 91), and focusing on his faults he is making himself to be the villain and tormenting himself. The true reason for his misery is Claudius actions, and Claudius, the one behind it all- metaphorically and physically- stands behind the mirror as Hamlet criticizes himself. Branaghââ¬â¢s tone of voice and body language exert emotions in the scene making Hamletââ¬â¢s true feelings apparent. Half way through the soliloquy, suspenseful classical music begins to play, adding intensity to Hamlets dark description of the unnecessary burden of life and his ambiguous understanding to why a person would endure such suffering, ââ¬Å"For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, / Thââ¬â¢ oppressorââ¬â¢s wrong, the proud manââ¬â¢s contumely,â⬠(3.1 78-79). There are few actions Hamlet makes in the scene but the movements he does make are significant. Calmly stating, ââ¬Å"Or to take arms against a sea of troubles / And, by opposing, end them,â⬠(3.1 67-68) as he raises a clenched fist in the air, illustrating his anger toward Claudius and passion to seek revenge is portrayed through the small, but powerful hand gestures. It is indubitable that Branaghââ¬â¢s version of this scene captures both the emotions and themes of Hamlet and his tortured character.

Janan Ihmud MED 2056 FT030 Diabetes Mellitus Research Paper Annabelle Anglo 03/17/2015 According to Mayo Clinic, ââ¬Å"Diabetes mellitus refers to a group of diseases that affect how your body uses blood sugar (glucose). Glucose is vital to your health because it s an important source of energy for the cells that make up your muscles and tissues. It s also your brain s main source of fuel.â⬠(Mayo Clinic, 2005) Diabetes Mellitus has 3 types: Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, and Gestational Diabetes. Type 1 Diabetes is an incurable disease but there are treatments and managements on how to keep your blood sugar under control. Being that insulin is not being produced or secreted insulin will have to be taken every day via the subcutaneous route per a sliding scale managed by their physician. Management of carbohydrates will help decrease the amount of glucose entering your body. Frequently monitoring blood sugar will give you a range of how much of your intake is affecting your body and will let you know of how much insulin will need to be used. Keeping up with your insulin intake and monitoring your blood sugar will give you a baseline of how effective the therapeutic regimen you are on is actually taking effect on your body. Type 1 Diabetes emergency is known as DKA, Diabetic Ketoacidosis. According to Medicine Health,â⬠Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA) results from dehydration during a state of relative insulin deficiency, associated with high blood levels of sugar level and organic acids called ketones.
